Regina Whitman,
Founder, Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator 30+ years
Desert Cry Wildlife, Inc.
is a facility founded for the rescue and rehabilitation of Native
Wild animals with the goal of returning them to the wild life
where they were born to live. When an animal cannot be released,
due to permanent disability, it is afforded life long care.
Regina Whitman has been recognized
as an expert in the husbandry and rehabilitation of Jackrabbits
(Hares). As a presenter/lecturer at both the National Wildlife
Rehabilitation Assoc. and the International Wildlife Rehabilitation
Council, she has published papers and established an accepted
protocol for the captive rearing and release of these magnificent
creatures.
So it is fitting
that this website contains the following information, that others
may join with Regina in the quest to Ban Hare Coursing, a cruel
"sport" that is still practiced in Ireland.
DESERT CRY is funded
only by donations from folks like you.
Even a small one can make a big difference.
